William Ballinger Commits to Gettysburg College Football
Long snapper William Ballinger has committed to the Bullets of Gettysburg College. A senior at Mount Saint Joseph High School (MSJ) in Baltimore Ballinger was named the No. 1 long snapper in Maryland by Prokicker.com which is the nation’s top evaluation program for high school kickers, punters and long snappers and #1 rising long snapper in 2017 by Pro Football America. The program’s website ranks him as the 75th-best long snapper in the nation for the Class of 2017. He has also played defensive end and center in high school, but it’s definitely his special teams prowess that brings him to Gettysburg.
The decision to commit to the Bullets was evidently an easy one for Ballinger, who received the offer from Gettysburg College on February 4, 2017. William becomes the 1st MSJ Gaels football player to commit for 2017, William has a 3.6 GPA and a member of the National Honor Society. Ballinger is also a varsity member of the wrestling and track and field teams at MSJ.
